10 Items Worth Packing for a “Mellow” Vacation
For moments of beauty, calm, and presence!
1. Leica SOFORT Instant Camera
I’ve been using the original Leica SOFORT instant camera for several years now. Although Leica has released a newer version, I still love the first one for its beautiful design. It’s the perfect companion for capturing unique and meaningful moments during a trip.
2. Postal Stamps
This might sound a little overprepared, but I always pack a few postage stamps before traveling. That way, whenever I come across a beautiful local postcard, all I have to do is write a message, stick on a stamp, and drop it into the next mailbox I find. It makes sending postcards feel effortless when you’d like to share lovely messages from your trip.
Of course, my Mellow Schema Tarot Deck comes with me wherever I go. Whenever I need a quiet moment to myself, I like to pull a card and slow down. The shimmering iridescent foil catches the summer sunlight beautifully, making every reading outdoors feel even more magical.
4. Journal Notebook
I always keep up with my gratitude journaling while traveling. Recently, I switched to a six ring cover from CLOTH & PAPER so I can continue using my custom journal inserts. If you'd like to try them yourself, you can download the inserts as a free gift here.
5. Mellow Schema The Empress Tote Bag
The Empress Tote that I proudly designed, featuring an embroidered illustration of The Empress card. The lightly padded fabric gives it a soft, cozy feel while also helping protect everything inside. The colors looks so good for summer days. Cute, practical, and delightfully cushy…
6. Torriden Dive In Sunscreen
This soothing, hydrating sunscreen has become one of my travel essentials. I first discovered it during my last trip to Korea at Olive Young, and I've been enjoying it ever since. It's moisturizing enough that I sometimes skip my moisturizer and use this on its own. I highly recommend it for traveling.
7. Crystals
Simply carrying a few crystals with me brings a sense of comfort. I keep them in a small pouch so they're always nearby whenever I feel like meditating or taking a quiet moment for myself.
8. Motion Sickness Pills
For winding mountain roads, bumpy bus rides, or boat trips, I always keep motion sickness pills in my bag for travels. It's a tiny thing to pack, but one day it might just save your trip. You never know what kind of road your journey will take you on.
9. MUJI A5 Notebook
Slim, lightweight, and easy to carry everywhere. It's the perfect notebook for sketching, writing little thoughts, or collecting ideas while traveling.
10. Nonfiction Hair Serum Mist
A lovely combination of hair care and fragrance. I brought the Rose scent with me, and it adds such a fresh, romantic feeling throughout the day while keeping my hair soft and hydrated.
